As a partner of Kasan IP and Law Firm, Mr. Kang represents clients in the field of electrical and electronic engineering.

He handles all phases of intellectual property including procurement of patents, patent trials and litigation, and providing counsel in connection with these matters.

Before joining the firm, he worked as a researcher at Nara Controls Inc. for 3 years, and his professional experience includes development of Unix-based middleware and related application programs for Intelligent Building Systems (IBS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS), hardware layout, and design of wireless humidity and temperature meter sensors. He was also associated with Woori Technology where he assisted with patent analyses practice.

He received a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Seoul National University in 1996, taking a wide range of courses including transmission and telecommunications, automatic controls and measurement, automation, computer systems, semiconductors and ICs, and electrical energy systems.

He passed the Korean patent bar examination in 2002, and completed the patent attorney training program at the International IP Training Institute in Korea.

He completed the Advanced International Certificate Course on IP Asset Management for Business Success, and the international technology commercialization process in SRIC-BI, California. Also, he was appointed as a member of the Evaluation Committee and Consultant Patent Attorney, etc. and has offered patent consultation and assessment and lectures.

He has a good command of English and Japanese.
