As a partner of Kasan IP and Law Firm, Mr. Lee drafts and prosecutes patent applications in the field of electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, and new materials.

He handles all phases of intellectual property including procurement of patents, patent trials and litigation, and providing counsel in connection with these matters.

Before joining the firm, he worked as a researcher in the Precision Machinery Laboratory at Seoul National University.

While completing his Masters at Seoul National University, he designed a guide roller for reducing vibrations in elevators in a development project with LG Industrial Systems. Also, he was involved as a chief researcher in a project with Samsung Heavy Industries for optimized design of homogenized automobile pillars.

He received a B.S. in 1996 and a M.S. in 1998 in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University.

He passed the Korean patent bar examination in 2002, and completed the patent attorney training program at the International IP Training Institute in Korea.

He has served as a guest lecturer at Ajou University and Hanyang University. Also, he was appointed as a professional member of Association of Machinery Industry and Consultant Patent Attorney, etc. and has offered patent consultation and assessment and lectures.

He has a good command of English and Japanese.

As a partner of Kasan IP and Law Firm, Ms. Park practices in the areas of trademarks, service marks, and designs and has prosecuted all procedures related thereto, including searches, filing of domestic and international applications, oppositions, trials and litigations.

Before joining Kasan in 2006, she worked at Oori Patent & Law Office.

She was involved in the prosecution of more than 2000 trademark and/or service mark cases on behalf of international and domestic clients including Pierre Cardin, Maxim's Limited, Kistler Holdings AG, HDN Development Corporation, Hyosung Corporation, Ssangyong Motors Company, and Nautilus Hyosung Inc.

She is widely experienced in filing trademarks and service marks in over 70 countries under the Paris Convention System and the Madrid Protocol System.

In addition, she has successfully handled many international trademark applications in Korea, in addition to oppositions, trials, and infringements. She has successfully defended clients in invalidation trials filed by Federal Express Corporation, Starbucks Corporation, and GA Modefine S.A.

She was also involved in over 200 trademark cancellation trials, confirmation of the scope of right, and invalidation trials before the Intellectual Property Tribunal of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and over 50 lawsuits before the Patent Court and the Supreme Court. She has an extremely high success rate of over 80%.

She received an LL.B from Hongik University in 2000, and passed the Korean Patent Bar in 2002.

As a partner of Kasan IP and Law Firm, specializing in the fields of chemistry, bioengineering, semiconductors, LCDs, and PDPs, Mr. Ahn represents clients in the procurement of patents, in patent trials and litigation, and he provides counsel in connection with these matters.

Before joining the firm in 2005, he worked at Hanol Patent Office where he gained experience in the areas of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and medical and biotechnologies.

He received a B.S. in veterinary medicine from Seoul National University in 2001, and received LL. B (Bachelor of Laws) from Korea National Open University. Also, he received a Master's degree (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) from Yonsei University Graduate School of Engineering, and completed the engineering management program at Yonsei University Graduate School of Engineering.

He passed the Korean patent bar examination in 2003, and completed the patent attorney training program at the International IP Training Institute in Korea.

He was appointed to the undergraduate/graduate lecturer of the Korea Invention Promotion Association, is giving various lectures and has conducted research on analysis and evaluation.

Before joining the firm, he accumulated in-depth knowledge and experience in the field of electronic transactions including business logic, program implementation, and internet programming. Also, he did an internship at Hyundai Capital Co., Ltd., where he managed the development of the Hyundai M card.

He received a B.S. in computer science from Seoul National University in 2004, and received LL. B (Bachelor of Laws) from Korea National Open University.

He passed the Korean patent bar examination in 2003, and completed the patent attorney training program at the International IP Training Institute in Korea.

He has served as a guest lecturer at Hanyang University, and has conducted research on patent analysis and offered lectures.

He received a B.S. in Inorganic Materials Engineering from Chonnam National University.

Mr. Lee passed the Korean patent bar examination in 2005, and completed the patent attorney training program at the International IP Training Institute in Korea.
